Curing cancer without chemo

It’s been awhile since I’ve updated you all on Julia’s cancer. I’ve been a wee distracted. I apologize to those of you praying.

Beautiful Julia after she lost her hair
We have very good news. But first, some things have happened since I last wrote that has changed the course of our actions. I really wanted for us to see a change before updating you.

Jorge, Julia and Karen Elena from a few years ago
such an amazing lady

Sometime during Julia’s first round of chemo she read an article about a relatively new cancer treatment advertised here in Guatemala. She presented the information she had read to Britt and they decided to check it out. Just days before she was due for her second round of chemo, Britt took her and Jorge to the facilities (about an hour away) where they were told to go. They were given the complete background and history of this alternative treatment by the founder himself. Britt was amazed at how large the facilities were, covering an entire city block. Julia was checked out by their onsite doctor and told to come back if she decided to start the program. She was told it would take 5-8 months of treatments for her stage 2 breast cancer. The doctor sounded very hopeful. They make the locally grown, plant-based treatments, called Oconex, for each patient as they enter in the program. Julia had to wait about 1 1/2–2 months for them to get her supply made to have her in the monthly system. So now she goes each month to get checked and get her new supply of the treatment. She takes the powder three times a day and has very little side-effects. After her first round of chemo, she lost all her hair and was very sick. So she was thrilled to be relieved of the likely 6-8 months of chemo. Plus with Oconex, she won’t have to have surgery nor radiation.

her hair is starting to grow back

she said it wasn’t growing back the same as before

Julia, her mom, grandmother, and daughter
The good news is that after three months of treatment, she was checked out to find her tumor had not only shrunk, but is no longer attached to the muscle. And the doctor told her it would take about three more months of treatment before they reassess, and she could possibly be done...cured. We are praying diligently as we have been for many months.

Thank you to all of you praying, sending funds, and just keeping up-to-date on Julia’s condition. She regularly reminds us to thank each of you on her behalf. She is so joy-filled, and its contagious to everyone around her.
